Implementation of a Research Booth accessible by a Student Identification Card using Barcode Reader Machine is a supplementary tool capable of searching information over the internet. The function of this system is to give students access to the internet by searching facts they need. It will help students an ease to search for information because they don't need to go out of the campus to rent for a computer and the system offers free printing of documents. A barcode reader machine was installed inside the booth; it is composed of L293D Motor Driver Integration Circuit and a Proximity Sensor. The circuit was connected to the system unit via DB-25 connector. Based form the result gathered and summarized from the series of testing and evaluation, the system was fated excellent by the institution evaluators (comprised of the Computer and Engineering Department Faculty and Students) using the ISO 9126 model criteria. Improvements were also made from the comments and suggestions given by the adviser, fellow students and evaluators. The system was successfully constructed and tested meeting the required specification, and it performs well and has gathered the highest rating in evaluation.
