The study was conducted from August 2016 to April 2017 to develop and evaluate the vibrating cutter for cutting materials such as wood, sheet metals and styrofoams. Explicitly, the study aimed to: 1) design the Vibrating Cutter; 2) construct Vibrating Cutter as to its lay-out, specification and principles of operation; 3) evaluate the performance of the Vibrating Cutter in terms of: a) time spent; b) number of cut materials, and; c) safety of the device, and; 4) conduct a cost analysis for the Vibrating Cutter.

The prototype was consist of rubber sheet, switch, removable and adjustable handle, three meters of a wire that supply power of electricity and three attachment wood (semicircular blade), plane sheet metal (e-cut saw blade), and styrofoam (hack saw blade).

In testing and evaluation, different mediums and instrument were measured and evaluated. Data collected were analyzed to determine the efficiency of the Vibrating Cutter.

The result of the study revealed that the vibrating cutter was faster than the regular cutting tools and much safety to other cutting tools. The vibrating cutter can used to cut in easy, comfortable, and safety. The total cost of the project was Php.23,028.81.
