Wireless Multi-Channel Remote with RF Technology for Electrical Home Appliances. Design Project. Department of Engineering. Cavite State University-Cavite College of Arts and Trades Campus, Rosario, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Engr. John Robert G. Briones, Technical Critic: Engr. Kenneth J. Enrico. The study was conducted from August 2018 to March 2019 to develop a wireless multi-channel remote with RF technology for electrical home appliances. Specifically, the study aimed to: ( 1) design and construct a system that will control up to four ( 4) electrical appliances wirelessly; (2) evaluate the parameters of the device in terms of operating distance from the controlled appliances and system response for each appliance; and (3) examine the market potential of the technology. The wireless power control system was constructed and divided into two (2) main parts. First is the remote, made up of the transmitter circuit and composed of transmitter module, HT12 encoder, a few passive components and four push buttons. The second part is the controlling device, made up of the receiver circuit, relay module and four universal outlets. The receiver circuit are composed of receiver module. HT12 decoder. voltage regulator, and few passive components. The two (2) main parts were constructed and enclosed into two individual casing. The results of the evaluation revealed that the proposed device can control the power or electrical flow from up to four (4) electrical appliances with the specifications of up to 250V AC, usually simple electrical home appliances. With the remote, it can function wirelessly at the range of up to eight (8) meters given that the signal can penetrate through walls. The market potential of the prototype is very high in the market.
