Wireless Power Control for Electrical Home Appliances Using Radio Frequency - Based Remote. Design Project. Department of Engineering. Cavite State University-Cavite College of Arts and Trades Campus, Rosario, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Engr. John Robert G. Briones. Technical Critic: Nemrod M. Zoleta. The study was conducted from January 2017 to March 2018 to develop a wireless power control system for electrical home appliances using radio frequency based remote. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) design and construct a system that will control up to four electrical appliance wirelessly; 2) evaluate the parameters of the device in terms of operating distance from the controlled appliances and system response for each appliance; and 3) conduct cost analysis of the project. The wireless power control system was constructed and divided into two main parts. First is the remote, made up of the transmitter circuit and composed of transmitter module, HT12 encoder, a few passive components and four push buttons. The second part is the controlling device, made up of the receiver circuit, relay module and four universal outlet. The receiver circuit are composed of receiver module, HTI2 decoder, voltage regulator, and few passive components. The two main parts where constructed and enclosed into two individual 3D printed casing. The results of the evaluation revealed that the proposed device can control the power or electrical flow from up to four electrical appliances with the specifications of up to 250 volts AC, usually simple electrical home appliances. With the remote, it can function wirelessly at the range of up to 8 meters given that the signal can penetrate through walls.Item type | Current location | Collection | Shelving location | Call number | Copy number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
