June 2019. Adviser: Dr. Ariel G. Santos and Technical Critic: Dr.Lauro B.Pascua. The study was conducted from August, 2018 to June 2019 to develop a Multi-purpose Petroleum Recycling Washer. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) design a Petroleum Recycling Washer; 2) construct a stationary washer to help the user to wash comfortable and less cost; 3) evaluate the performance of the equipment in terms of: 3.1. Percentage of Kerosene left from Input to Output 3.2. Number of times in reusing filters; 3.3.Acceptability of the prototype in terms of: 3.3.1.Functionality 3.3.2.Workability 3.3.3. Durability 3.3.4. Safety 3.3.5. Economy and Conduct a cost analysis of Multi-Purpose Recycled Petroleum Washer. The technical evaluation of the device was done at Cavite State University-CCAT Campus. The device has a dimension of 180cm x 80cm x 190cm. It was composed of Air Regulator, Kerosene Tank, Faucet, and Filter Box. Air regulator is responsible for the manipulation of air pressure. Kerosene Tank serves as the container and the kerosene will start to flow in the pipe up to the faucet once the air pressure from the air regulator comes. Faucet is the kerosene outlet. Last, the Filter box will separate the small particles and dirt from the kerosene, the filtered kerosene will flow back to the kerosene tank and that is how the cycle happens. The mean ratings of the evaluation in five criteria are 4.85 for functionality, 4.79 for workability, 4.41 for durability, 4.59 for safety, and 4.64 for economy. The equipment earned the highest rating for functionality as it was proven to be very effective compared to the manually operated and traditional cleaning machine. Based on the results of the evaluation, the device got an overall mean of4.66 with a descriptive rating of excellent. Many participants agreed that the Multi-Purpose Petroleum Recycling Washer was easy to operate, durable, safe to use and has a market potential in many places especially in local areas.
