It is most often applies in the manufacturing sector where employees must meet prescribed quota.
The main objective of this study is to determine whether the company meets the desired quota on production. It seeks to identify the products produced by the company, identify the strategies they implements to meet the quota, and identify the challenges facing the company that hinder the quota on production
Chang Chuen Cotton Paper Mgf. Co. Ltd Phils., Inc. is located at Cavite Economic Zone Authority, Rosario, Cavite Philippines and was established in 1989. It is a subsidiary of Chang Chuen Cotton Paper Mgf. Co. Ltd in Taiwan and is wholly owned by the Taiwanese. The company manufactures traditional paper and handmade decorative paper for export to Taiwan. It is an exporting company that implements production quota in their company. Setting of their quota on production depends by their mother company and that was based on purchased order of their regular customers. Kit can be applied by individual worker, firm or industry.
Descriptive, observational, and mix methods of analyses were used to analyze the data. The researcher personally meets the factory manager, production operator, and key personnel and asked necessary questions regarding the topic. They used personal interview to provide information which may be confidential and may not be acquire or given in writing. The SWOT analysis was also used for further study. Historical data from March 2017-March 2018 were gathered to determine weather the company meets the desired quota on production.
Chang Chuen Cotton Paper Mfg. Co. Ltd. Phils., Inc implements quota on production. The comparison of target quota and actual production quota of the company from March 2017 March 2018 was differentiated and reveals that not every month the company met its target quota on production. It is noticeable that the suddenly changes in setting quota and changes of machines have a negative impact that affects meeting the desired quota on production.
The company's different types of products produces was identified, majority of the products they produced was made to make a traditional paper and/or handmade decorative paper. Cotton Paper was the type of paper that the company made. They used goods numbers that symbolized its name. The company finds implementation of incentive program and giving grocery to the workers who will exceed to their target quota as strategies that would motivate the workers to accomplish their tasks. The company also finds workers absenteeism, unexpected defect of machines, and human errors as challenges that hinders the production quota.
The result of the study was analyzed and clarified based on the data and information gathered. The solution and recommendation put by this study is for the improvement of the production. This may serve as references in further study.
