520 _aPersonal Development satisfies the topics, content and performance standards, and learning competencies required br the Department of Education for the subject on personal development in the K to 12 curriculum. This book utilizes several learning principles: Eisenkraft's 7E Instructional Model, the P21 Framework for 21st Century Learning, and the Whole Child Tenets of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) A chapter entitled "Introduction to Personal Development" was added to provide an overview on the subject matter. Another chapter, "Understanding Conflict," was also added to aid students in resolving conflicts and improving relationships. Psychosocial theories are examined and explained, and activities are provided an overview in this book to reinforce learning. Suggested activities such as group discussion, conducting online surveys and face-to-face interviews, producing videos, and organizing events aim to hone organizational, people, social, and communication skills of students. At the end of every chapter, a summary is provided followed by a reflection page to encourage students to write down their thoughts and lessons learned.
