520 _aCASTRO, ALVIN A. Development of Three-Phase Electrical Power Trainer. Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Cavite State University Rosario, Rosario, Cavite. April 2017. Adviser: Engr. Ariesthotle D. Arive. Technical critic: Mr. Noelle T. Legaspi The study was conducted from October 2016 to April 2017 to develop and evaluate a three-phase electrical trainer. Specifically, the study aimed to: l. design and construct a Three-Phase Electrical Power Trainer; 2. evaluate the accuracy of the prototype using F-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe Analysis; and 3. conduct cost analysis of the system. The study was divided into five modules namely, power generation module, transmission module, distribution module, display module, and load module. The basic function of the device is to generate its own electricity, deliver it to the loads and measure line voltages, line current, power, power factor, energy, speed, and frequency using digital measuring devices. A predetermined set of activities will guide the user on which actions should be performed. The most significant findings of the evaluation were the discrepancy between the readings of the SANWA multi-meter and the multi-meter used in the study. The mean discrepancy was 0.025 amperes. However, ANOVA shows that there was no statistically significant difference between the readings of different components, leading to the conclusion that the reading of the multi-tester used in the study will always be deficient by 0.025 amperes. This finding, however, does not undermine the technical performance of the device.
