Adviser, Norman A. Crucido. This study entitled, Germination of Petchay (B. rapachinensis) with the Use of Effective Microorganisms (EM) determined the effects of Effective Microorganisms (EM) on the germination of petchay seeds and also determined the effective concentration of Effective Microorganisms (EM) to hasten the germination of petchay seeds. The effects of Effective Microorganisms (EM) was based on the plant height, root length, germination time, and germination percentage applied against the seeds after 120 and 240 hours of germination using different concentrations. The study utilized the RCBD (Randomized Complete Block Design) using five treatments. The concentrations of each treatment in this study were as follows: TO Control Group; TI-150mL EM: 150mL, brown sugar: 2100mL tap water; T2-150mL EM: 150mL. brown sugar: 3600ml. tap water; T3-150mL EM: 150ml. brown sugar: 5100mL tap water. Growth effects of Effective Microorganisms (EM) were not seen on the seeds after 120 and 240 hours of germination. The seeds did not respond to the Effective Microorganisms (EM) concentration applied to them. Results of the study revealed that there was a significant difference among treatments at 120 and 240 hours of germination. | ||
