"PROPAGATION OF BOLO (GIGANTOCHLOA LEVIS) USING DIFFERENT METHODS" Adviser: Mrs. Caridad S. Merced The research study entitled "Propagation of Bolo (Gigantochloa levis) using different methods" was conducted at Cavite State University - Rosario Generally, this study aimed to find if Bolo (Gigantochloa levis) can be equally propagated using different methods such as culm, branch and seedling. Specifically, this study aimed to determine the significant difference between propagation of Bolo (Gigantochloa levis) using the following method such as culm, branch and seedling in terms of height and diameter. The study used the Randomized Complete design (RCD), the statistical treatment used was ANOVA to find the significant difference between the propagation of Bolo using culm, branch and seedling. The branch cuttings, culm cuttings, and seedlings were gathered at La Mesa Eco Park, Novaliches, Quezon City. They were propagated according to the following treatments (T₁- Culm, T2- Branch, T3- Seedling). Regular watering and weeding was done. The height and diameter of the bamboos were measured to compute for the results of the study. Results showed that the three treatments had significant difference in terms of height and diameter. The result of ANOVA were greater than the tabular value at 0.05 level (P<0.05). In terms of height, T3 (Seedlings) ranked first as the most effective method, followed by T₂ and T₁. While in terms of diameter, T₁ (Culm Cuttings) gave the best result followed by T2 and T3. | ||
