The study was conducted from August 2018 to March 2019 to develop a three phase generator to grid synchronizing trainer Specifically this study aims to: 1. design and construct a trainer for synchronizing AC generator. lt focuses on synchronizing two alternators where an alternator will connect in parallel to the other alternator that is in live system of constant voltage and constant frequency. 2. test and evaluate the proposed trainer in terms of its functionality, construction, effectiveness, reliability and safety. Lastly, assess the trainer to comply with the electrical standards. The trainer was constructed with individual digital meters that are used to test alternators like short circuit test, open circuit test and de resistance test. Digital multi-meters were constructed to check the voltage magnitude and frequency of the incoming generator and bus generator. The system uses synchroscope to check the voltage difference, frequency difference, phase sequence and phase angle between the incoming generator and bus generator. A synchronizing switch is use to switch on or make contact between alternators and grid source when it completely meets the condition of synchronizing. The results of the evaluation revealed that the three-phase generator synchronizing trainer is feasible and reliable.
